Hungaro-Realism in Eastern Hungary, unemployment, alcohol, and hopelessness. In Loupe Theatre Company’s production of “The Night Can Never End,” football is the sole spark of joy in the life of Végend. Our protagonist, Lóri (Adrián Samudovszky), transforms from a wonder striker into a symbol of escape when he’s invited for a trial by Fradi. He carries the burdens of himself and his community like a cross onto the legendary pitch. But can he truly bear it?
My review of Loupe Theatre Company’s The Night Can Never End was published in the online magazine András világa.
